Maya McCabe joined the Yale Young African Scholars [YYAS] team in 2024. Prior to joining the YYAS Team, Maya spent two years as a Math and Physics teacher on the Island of Pemba, Zanzibar with the Peace Corps. She also taught at an all-boys boarding school in the US, and more recently worked as the Assistant Director of an Upward Bound Math/Science Program. Maya has a BA in Physics and Education from Bowdoin College.
